The competition is held in Tampa, FL every year, inviting breweries from across Florida to participate. This was the first year entering into the competition since opening in April, 2016. Entered in 4 categories; Hazy IPA, Wood-aged Fruited Sour, Pilsner, & Brett Beer.
CITRONIOUS - New England IPA
FIRST PLACE - Hazy IPA category
DDH New England IPA unfiltered with stunning drink-ability and notoriously BIG aroma and flavor from the dynamic Citra hop!
FOEDERHEAD - Tart Wild Saison
SECOND PLACE - Brett Beer category
Tart Wild Saison, with light funk and oak. Foeder-fermented with our house culture "Badoogie" with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, & Pediococcus. These beers take time, planning and scheming...Foeder Goblin approves!
THE IN BETWEEN - Barrel-aged Sour Ale
THIRD PLACE - Wood-aged Fruit Sour category
2 year Red Wine Barrel-aged Amber sour ale with boysenberries (a cross between Raspberries & Blackberries).
A place of strange beauty and heavy fate. The Ferryman’s stare chills you as you inhale the scent of fresh berries and fruit. Ancient waters of deep mauve and firm acidity carry you further down. Once the journey has begun there can be no return.
